Music was an inevitable career path for Chip Pullen, who sings lead for Gold City. His grandfather taught music schools all over the state of Alabama, and his parents, John and Lynn Pullen, had a local group for over ten years. Chip, who was born in Montgomery, AL and grew up with his parents and older sister, Ashley, in Marbury, AL, has always had the desire to sing and grew up with gospel music a huge part of his life.
After performing with some local groups, Chip made the move to full-time professional music when he joined the Anchormen. In 2013, he got a call that would thrill him, when Gold City was looking for a lead singer. Besides joining one of the most respected and prestigious groups in all of gospel music, becoming Gold City’s lead vocalist in October 2013 afforded Chip the much desired opportunity to relocate back to his home state. He and wife, Leslie, currently make their home in Rainbow City, AL, just a short two hours from Marbury, where Chip, an avid outdoorsman, declares the hunting to be great!
Chip is excited to be a part of Gold City, and his enthusiasm and hard work ethic make him a favorite both on stage and off.
